Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 23, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

ServiceLedger is owned and operated by Maricel Johnson (the "Seller", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use ServiceLedger (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business; if you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

ServiceLedger is a bookkeeping application for field-service professionals. It lets you record clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, income, expenses, receipts, mileage, cash and bank activity, owner transactions, and produce reports and tax summaries. Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are billed monthly after a free trial, as described on our pricing page.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Interfere with the Service's security — including introducing malware, probing or scanning for vulnerabilities, or scraping the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service, or circumvent plan limits or technical controls.

The Service includes AI-assisted features (such as receipt scanning and the Cely assistant). AI output may be inaccurate — you are responsible for reviewing it and for the prompts and content you provide. Do not use these features to create or process unlawful content.

4. Your account and data

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You retain ownership of the data you enter; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

ServiceLedger is a record-keeping tool. Reports and tax summaries are informational only and are not accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and filings.

5. Intellectual property

We own the Service and all associated intellectual property, including the software, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan.

6. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.

7. Service level

We work hard to keep ServiceLedger available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change over time.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, you may request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
